Schalke and Kevin-Prince Boateng in discussions over January exit

Schalke have confirmed they are in talks with Kevin-Prince Boateng's representatives over a possible January exit for the Royal Blues outcast.

Boateng, 28, was suspended indefinitely by the Bundesliga club towards the end of last season, but is still under contract at the Veltins-Arena -- until 2016 -- after several summer transfers fell through.
